UPDATED 30th November 2009:  Over-flying of the village

Many residents will be aware that Litlington has seen an increase in over-flying of commercial aircraft in recent months without explanation or consultation from the National Air Traffic Services - NATS.  Not only has there been an increase in volume but the height at which the aircraft fly is considerably lower and most of the traffic is banking round in a turn. This increases the whine from the engines and can clearly be heard even indoors. The aircraft move in a narrow corridor over the village and have been noted to be as frequent as every 2 – 3 minutes at times.
